The Hurley Cup
The 9-19 Club’s Hurley Cup is awarded annually to the member who has played no less than 25% of the Club’s playing dates and who has the greatest improvement in his game for the season as established by comparing each member’s starting and ending handicap index. Because this competition covers the entire season, only 9-19ers who are members at the beginning of the season qualify for this competition.
Our 2025 Hurley Cup winner was Skip Harrington.
The Lenoir Cup
Beginning in 2020, the LeNoir Cup is awarded annually to the member who has the lowest total three net scores from Saturday 9-19 Stroke Play. Each member is automatically entered in the competition.
Our 2025 Lenoir Cup winner was Rob Gooderham.
The Saville Cup
The Saville Cup is not awarded annually but rather as warranted to a member who provides distinguished service to the 9-19 Club. Awarding this Cup requires a recommendation by the Executive Committee followed by approval by the 9-19 Club membership.
The Saville Cup was not awarded in 2025.
The 9-19 Cup
In anticipation of the BMW Championship being played at the Wilmington Country Club in August 2022, in 2021 the 9-19 Club established a new competition, modeled on the PGA’s FedEx Cup. The 9-19 Cup is awarded annually to the winner of a playoff, following a season-long competition during which players accumulate points based on how well they play in Saturday Stroke Play, and how well their teams perform in Saturday Team Play.
Every player competing in any Saturday Stroke Play or Team Play is awarded points and receives bonus points for playing on designated Saturdays. The players accumulating the most points at the end of the competition qualify for a playoff. In the playoff the competitors are handicapped based on their ranking in the final standings.
Our 2025 9-19 Cup winner was Don Priester.
Our 2025 9-19 Cup Runner-up was Jim Deese.
